Description

An archer kneels to left of a tree and the hill to shoot at pair of deer. The polychrome design is repeated across horizontal rows on dark brown ground.
A dark brown silk textile fragment features horizontal rows of repeating hunting scenes. Tan hunters aim bows toward leaping animals fleeing past muted pink trees and rocky mounds. Horizontal bands of cream-colored, angular script divide the figures into a rhythmic grid. The edges are frayed and irregular. In a muted palette of tan, cream, and pink, the tiers depict a continuous cycle of hunters and fleeing prey.
