A vertically oriented wool embroidery features a floral border of roses surrounding various motifs on cream canvas. At the top, multicolored cursive German text sits above castles, a lyre, and animals including a curled cat and a sitting dog. A central scene depicts a winged figure with light skin in a boat pulled by swans. Flanking this are two small circular landscapes. At the bottom, black text includes the date September 1, 1870.
