Description

This Buyid-style caftan is ornamented with a floral border down its front openings, hem, and cuffs. There are Kufic inscriptions around the neck opening, around and across the sleeves, and between the shoulders on the back.
A vertically oriented, T-shaped silk lampas garment in cream and tan shows significant dark brown staining. Intricate dark brown bands with repeating circular patterns border the rounded neckline, central opening, and hem. Ornate panels of dark brown script and circular motifs wrap around both upper sleeves. The robe features a wide, straight silhouette that flares slightly at the base.
