Description

The panel preserves four vertical repeats of a tree flanked by falconers on confronted horses. Behind each falconer is an Arabic inscription. The design is delineated in dark brown against a tan ground.
A vertically long, monochromatic tan silk lampas textile fragment features four horizontal registers of mirrored equestrians facing a central flowering tree. Each figure holds a small bird aloft on their outer hand. Dark brown motifs depict the riders and their caparisoned horses across a heavily distressed, frayed surface. Torn edges and horizontal splits interrupt the rhythmic, repeating pattern, with partial human figures visible along the narrow top and bottom borders.
