A carved bamboo wood sculpture depicts Guanyin, a deity seated and leaning slightly to his left. He has downcast eyes and hair pulled into a high bun. He wears long robes draped in deep, flowing folds. His right hand holds a cylindrical scroll while his left rests on his knee. The polished, reddish-brown wood surface shows a fine grain and dark patina in the recessed lines of the carving.
