A circular brass cover with a wide, domed surface of muted gold curves upward to meet a central handle. The handle is fashioned from green earthenware carved into an openwork pattern of organic, foliage-like forms, surmounted by a small, rectangular gold-colored piece. A thin, flat rim encircles the outer edge of the polished metal, which displays a soft reflection of the verdant handle.
