Description

This tea and coffee service was designed for production by the Rokesley Shop, a collaborative group working at Louis Rorimer’s studio. Reacting against industrial mass production, Rorimer emphasized inventive design in finely crafted objects.
A hammered silver bowl tapers to a narrow base, its surface displaying a reflective sheen across fine indentations. A wide band circles the upper half, featuring relief-carved fruit and broad leaves. Centered within this band is an oval moonstone, with raised vertical lines extending from it to segment the bowl's lower body. The vessel flares slightly at the mouth, revealing a textured interior that matches the metallic exterior.
