A slender wood and ivory baton stands vertically, topped by a dark brown, spherical head. Below a short, smooth neck, the upper shaft features a section of deep, diagonal spiraling grooves. The remainder of the long, warm brown form is smooth, tapering slightly toward the bottom. The piece is defined by its clean verticality and the rhythmic, geometric texture of the upper carvings.
