A rectangular lacquer box base features rounded corners and a pale gold exterior decorated on the left and front with fine, dark line drawings of plum branches and chrysanthemums. A raised inner rim extends upward from the main body. The interior reveals a reddish-brown surface densely speckled with gold flakes. The overall form is low and wide with a smooth, polished finish.
