A rectangular wood box finished in glossy black lacquer has a slightly convex lid with a visible horizontal grain. On the top, three vertical lines of fluid golden calligraphy are centered. On the lower left side, two small green fabric tabs protrude from the horizontal seam between the lid and base. Light wear along the edges and corners reveals the material beneath the dark finish.
