Description

The reflecting surfaces of the mirrors were smooth and highly polished. Although much of the reflecting surface is corroded here, a small area of the original polished surface can be observed.
An eight-lobed bronze mirror, weathered with green and brown oxidation, features a central raised knob within a circular field. Flanking the center, two figures stand atop lotus blossoms connected by a slender, curving stem. The lobed outer border holds raised relief patterns of floral scrolls and insects, including a butterfly at the bottom. Silver-gray metal gleams through the patina, highlighting the intricate details of the figures and botanical motifs.
