Description

The mirror is covered with thick layers of corrosion that have been partially scraped off the reflecting surface. A small triangular area of undisturbed corrosion remains.
Two ornately patterned bands of relief figures radiate around a dark, circular bronze disk with a large knob at the center. The inner band depicts four muscular, four-legged creatures crouching amidst grape clusters and curling vines. In the outer band, smaller birds and running animals weave through more grapevine patterns. A narrow border with a repeating wave-like pattern encircles the rim of the thick, weathered mirror.
