A tapering ivory trumpet is mottled with dark brown and warm amber. At the narrow peak, a carved human head with wide eyes and a flat hairstyle faces forward. Below, geometric zigzag patterns and cross-hatched bands surround a diamond-shaped aperture. The lower half transitions into a smooth, polished cylinder highlighting the material's vertical grain. This hollow form widens from the intricate carvings at the top down to a broad opening at the base.
