Description

The Danish silversmiths at the firm of Georg Jensen have produced some of the most distinguished silver pieces of the 20th century, combining a conservative modern style with traditional techniques of crafts-manship. The bowl bears the following inscription: "Walter and Esther Doxsey, from the members of the American Steel Warehouse Association, with esteem and affection, May 24, 1955."
A polished silver bowl features a rounded basin and a notched rim. Eight vertical, curved supports tipped with small spheres connect the basin to a multi-tiered circular base. The highly reflective surface creates bright highlights across its smooth exterior, while small indentations line the inner edge of the rim.
