A horizontally oriented marquetry work uses wood grains and geometric shapes to depict a boy crouching on a light brown raft. Wearing a red top, he faces right. Two wading figures in orange and red appear in the dark teal water beside him. Tall, vertical wood pilings in shades of brown and purple dominate the upper background. Flat, interlocking wooden tiles define the angular composition and stylized human forms.
