Description

This futuristic coffee set was designed by Stuart Devlin while he was studying silversmithing at the Royal College of Art in London. Besides its unornamented surface, its use of black plastic sleeves to hold the coffee and hot milk pots was innovative because it eliminated the need for traditional handles.
A nylon plastic and silver insulator features a tall, hollow cylinder with uniform width and a smooth, matte black surface. It stands vertically on a flat base, its thin walls forming a circular opening at the top. The interior appears dark and empty, lacking visible seams or decorative markings. Subtle light catches the upper rim, while the solid black form rests against a background that transitions from light to dark grey.
