Description

This futuristic coffee set was designed by Stuart Devlin while he was studying silversmithing at the Royal College of Art in London. Besides its unornamented surface, its use of black plastic sleeves to hold the coffee and hot milk pots was innovative because it eliminated the need for traditional handles.
A polished silver and nylon coffee pot stands as a tall vertical vessel. A narrow cylindrical base supports a wider, slightly tapered upper section that culminates in a circular opening. From this body, a wide spout flares outward, ending in a sharp point. Long vertical streaks of light reflect off the smooth exterior, highlighting its sleek modern form and minimalist silhouette against a neutral grey backdrop.
