A white porcelain tray, shaped like a wide scallop shell with a fluted surface and thin gilded rim, features a botanical scene on the interior. A plant with long, golden leaves and a bulbous base grows on the right. Thin vines trail toward the left, bearing small orange and green flowers. A small butterfly with orange wings rests on a broad leaf near the top of the composition.
