A wood and ceramic sculpture features a rectangular box of light-toned wood containing a beveled frame of polished dark wood. Behind a central glass window, an irregular mound of tan and white clay pipe stems is fragmented and piled. Tethered horizontally to the frame by wire and knotted twine is an intact white clay pipe. Its bowl sits on our left, positioned in front of the pile of broken stems.
