A bulbous white porcelain teapot features a painted scene of a seated woman in a purple dress and a man in a red coat within a landscape. Ornate gold gilding accents the base, the scroll-like handle on the left, and the animal-headed spout on the right. A lid with a golden artichoke-shaped knob rests on top, decorated with a miniature painted vignette framed by delicate gold scrolls against the polished surface.
