A lobed vanity case features four oval slices of dendritic agate—a pale mineral with dark, tree-like inclusions—set vertically in an elaborate gold frame. Intricate scrollwork surrounds the stones, punctuated by small, clear gemstones in silver settings. The object rests in a rectangular, green box lined with plush velvet and white satin. Its tapered form includes a hinged lid at the top, following the curves of the ornate gold mounting.
