An agate scent bottle, carved from translucent brown stone, is shaped like a squirrel holding a gold nut. The animal faces our left and wears a gold collar with a white enameled band inscribed with "belles." It stands on a mound carved with foliage, resting atop a gold hinged base with scalloped edges. Fine incisions detail the squirrel's fur and curved tail, while its ears and paws are smooth and polished.
