Did You Know?

This cup and saucer were made during the Belle Epoque or "Beautiful Era" in France.
An ornate silver saucer features concentric patterns radiating from a deep red, domed center. A wide band of dark red enamel is decorated with four white faces arranged symmetrically. The motifs alternate between two pairs of distinct faces, connected by detailed silver scrollwork, leafy vines, and small gold stalks. A polished silver rim borders the vessel. The composition emphasizes intricate radial symmetry through its elaborate enamel and metalwork ornamentation.
