A rectangular bloodstone snuff box features a dark green-black body with reddish-brown flecks and textured gold borders. On the lid, a relief depicts two figures in eighteenth-century dress seated beneath an arching, floral bower framed by scrolls. The box has scalloped, vertically-ridged sides decorated with additional carvings. Polished stone reflects light across the intricate scenes. Gold frames follow the lid's wavy edge and the base, highlighting the box's curved silhouette.
