This English architect, designer, artist, and critic who made this is remembered for pioneering the Gothic Revival style of architecture.
A circular stoneware plate features a central reddish-brown field with eight cream wheat stalks radiating from a blue and cream floral motif. The band around it features a repeating cream leaf pattern. The final band, a wide blue rim, is inscribed with the text "waste not want not" in angular cream lettering, separated by four small floral motifs. Each decorative section is edged with a thin cream line.
