Did You Know?

The designer Bernard Moore studied Asian and Islamic ceramics. He was especially interested in glazes like the vivid red one on this vase that resembles the color of oxblood.
An oval snuff box carved from translucent white and reddish-brown banded agate features a thin gold band around its lid. Below, faceted sides reveal the stone's crystalline layers. Beside it, a dark brown leather case displays a pebbled, weathered surface. Secured to its front is a small brass hook latch. Both objects share rounded silhouettes and flat tops, presented side-by-side against a neutral gray background.
