An oval snuff box crafted from polished agate features concentric rings of translucent gray, opaque white, and deep black across its flat lid. Wavy, horizontal bands in the same grayscale palette wrap around the sides. A thin, gilt-metal band encircles the center, forming a mount where the lid meets the base. The entire object is smooth and highly reflective.
