A dog-head snuff box carved from amethystine quartz transitions from smooth, translucent white stone into a deep purple snout. Small, round black eyes sit above subtle brow folds as the head faces left. A ridged gold rim encircles the back edge. The polished white stone forms the skull, while the purple jowls and muzzle emphasize the animal's features, showcasing the natural color variation within the semi-precious quartz.
