A vertically oriented pen and ink drawing with brown wash depicts a muscular man seated on a diagonal ledge, hands pressed together. To our left, an older bearded man and several others gesture toward him. In the upper right background, figures manipulate a large wooden cross. A man in the lower foreground looks upward. Outlined in brown ink and shaded with translucent washes, the scene occupies tan paper framed by thin lines.
