A lead-glazed earthenware pipe is sculpted as a snake coiled into a circular loop. The glossy body features overlapping scales in green, blue, yellow, and brown glazes. A dark-brown mouthpiece tips the tail at the upper left. To the right, the snake's pale head opens its jaws to hold a flared pipe bowl. A delicate green leaf motif decorates the bowl, while the snake's features are subtly molded into the white clay.
