A horizontally oriented color lithograph in tan tones depicts an Egyptian temple carved into a rocky cliff. Four colossal seated figures line the facade. Left, one sits upright; the next is broken. Centered in a recessed niche, a standing figure faces forward. Right, a large sand dune buries the lower halves of two seated figures. Tiny people wearing white or black robes stand and sit on the sand, highlighting the monument's immense scale.
