In support of the CMA's Open Access initiative, CMA object images and data are available to scholars at over 2,000 institutions through the Artstor Digital Library which includes millions of high-quality images for education and research across disciplines from a wide variety of contributors around the world.
“The Cleveland Museum of Art's adopting such an open and welcoming stance with respect to images and information from the collection creates new opportunities for scholars and students. The wide ranging material has broad applicability not just in art and art history but across the humanities and sciences. We at Artstor are eager to support these kinds of efforts that make it easier to find, use, teach with, and learn from images online.”
