Parade the Circle 2016 is Saturday, June 11!
Mark your calendars for the return of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Parade the Circle this weekend, Sat, June 11! This annual celebration, now in its 27th year, will fill Wade Oval with lively sounds and colors, featuring innovative costumes, giant puppets and handmade masks created by international and national artists, as well as Greater Cleveland artists, families, schools and community groups. The parade will kick-off at 12 p.m. from the Cleveland Museum of Art and will proceed in a counter-clockwise direction around Wade Oval. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., be sure to check out and participate in hands-on activities offered by local organizations in Circle Village, presented by University Circle Inc.
This year’s centennial Parade theme is TEMENOS, definied as a space considered safe; a labyrinth within a sacred circle of creativity. Parade the Circle and Circle Village are FREE. See below for a suite of images from parade's past to get you ready for the weekend's festivities!
