Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks Preview
The CMA's next exhibition, Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks, opens this Sun, 1/22! See the Brooklyn-born artist’s notebooks filled with poetry, wordplay, sketches, and personal observations on New York street life, popular culture, race, and class, along with related works on paper and large-scale paintings.
This Sun, 1/22, join the CMA to celebrate the opening day of Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks with FREE admission to the exhibition (limited availability based on space). Additionally, see a special pop-up exhibition by students in Kent State University's Leading for Social Justice course, featuring pieces inspired by Basquiat's work in the Ames Family Atrium.
