Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Foundation Announce Creative Fusion: Composers Series

Cleveland, OH (August 23, 2018) – A new performing arts initiative is bringing six exceptional and diverse composers from around the world to the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA), where they will draw inspiration for original compositions to be performed in Cleveland over the next two years. With generous support from the Cleveland Foundation and its decade-long Creative Fusion program, the composers will immerse themselves in the city and the museum’s encyclopedic collection.

Cleveland (August 28, 2017)—Some of the most original and acclaimed performing artists from around the world are featured in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s 2017–18 Performing Arts Series. Again this year, the series showcases the talents of performers and composers with a variety of styles and influences, ranging from 1920s jazz and music for gamelan and kayagum to Surrealist film scores.

Cleveland Museum of Art announces the 2013–14 CMA Performing Arts Series, formerly known as VIVA! & Gala, featuring some of the world’s greatest living music masters from all over the world such as Gil Shaham, Midori and L. CMA Ohio City Stages

CLEVELAND (June 12, 2013) — Ohio City will be the place to be on Wednesday nights this July as the Cleveland Museum of Art launches a new free summer series: CMA Ohio City Stages, presented by Charter One. Taking place on the block surrounding Transformer Station (West 29th Street), the museum will bring acclaimed global musical artists to a neighborhood stage.
