Robert Dick, composer and flutist
Wednesday, October 15, 7:30

"Dick held the audience in rapt attention with his spellbinding virtuosity." -The Washington Post

A legendary figure in the world of new music, Robert Dick offers an ambitious program of his own works spanning more than two decades, including the early Piece in Gamelan Style and the more recent Sliding Life Blues. Picture the Gartner stage filled with flutes of all shapes and sizes. When this master plays the piccolo, alto, bass, and standard flute, all notions of the instrument surely change. He is joined by the esteemed Cleveland Orchestra flutist Mary Kay Fink for his Recombinant Landscapes. Co-presented with the Cleveland Institute of Music.
