The New String Quartet Project

This year the CMA and CIM injected an educational element into Aki, the first annual Composition Colloquium for Young Composers and Performers. Designed to introduce the commissioning process and to support collaboration between composer and quartet, the project has resulted in two new string quartet compositions by Joe Hallman and Daniel Visconti.
