A World of Great Art Right in Your Classroom!

The Art to Go program puts genuine and historic works of art right into the hands of your students! Under the positive supervision of CMA educators, students are able to handle art objects while participating in lively interactive discussions about varied cultures, time periods and materials. History becomes interesting and fun when students connect physically with objects from the past.

Museum educators specifically select art objects for each presentation topic that relate to state standards in science, social studies, mathematics, language arts and the visual arts. Presentations are available in French and Spanish as well. Drawn from the Education Art collection at the internationally renowned Cleveland Museum of Art, the works of art are in varied media, including ceramics, textiles, prints, cast metal, carved wood and stone. Art to Go offers a truly unique opportunity to complement your curriculum.

Art to Go is made possible through a generous grant from the Dominion Foundation. Additional sponsorship provided by the Chrysler Foundation and Target, as well as support from The Gallery Group.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioians.
