Lesson Plan (PDF file)

Images for Lesson (PDF file)

• This lesson is designed for a High School Asian Studies class. It examines the differing
perspectives with which the Chinese and Japanese confronted the influence of European
traders.
• This lesson could also be used in a traditional World History class that is focusing on cultural

concepts as cultural diffusion, trade, commercialization, and cultural perception.
