Dave Filipi, Director of Film/Video at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, returns to CMA to present an all-new program of “Rare Baseball Films.” This year’s show, like the previous two, draws on the Hearst Metrotone News Collection at the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Among the highlights: footage of Bob Feller, Babe Ruth, Sandy Koufax, and Willie Mays; a fire at Fenway; games between Hollywood celebrities and mothers and sons; baseball on an aircraft carrier and at Sing Sing prison; and much more! Thanks to Todd Wiener and Steven Hill, UCLA Film & Television Archive.
