He is one of Africa's most innovative bandleaders who have revolutionized Malian music by infusing the centuries-old rhythms with the spirit of rock 'n' roll and American root music. Performing all over the world from summer stages to Zankel Hall of Carnegie Hall his seven-piece band's propulsive dance like grooves has a hypnotic and euphoric impact on audiences.
