Foundations of Satyananda Yoga—The Atma Center

Sunday, August 24, 2014, 2:30 p.m.
The Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Exhibition Hall

Learn the fundamentals of a traditional, holistic system of yoga that can trace its roots back over 1,800 years. Swami Atmarupa, one of the most expert instructors in this style in all of North America, leads a class that is truly suitable for ALL adults, especially those who think they can’t do yoga. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat; you can also use a chair if you prefer. This inclusive class will encompass poses, breathing techniques, and a special kind of yoga nidra.

The Atma Center is the North American hub for Satyananda Yoga®, a style uniquely adapted to the needs of modern society. It is suitable for all ages, body types, and levels of fitness and health.
