Friday, August 22, 2014, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
The Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Exhibition Hall

Restorative Yoga class with live musical accompaniment

Let your go of your week, and treat yourself to a practice that's designed to release chronic tension and discomfort in the body and reverse the effects of stress on the nervous system. You will be supported with bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other props, allowing gravity to work for you while you sit back and chill out in therapeutic poses that help align the body, mind. and heart. With musical accompaniment that helps focus and quiet your entire system, you'll emerge from class wondering how you could feel so great after doing so little!

The class will be guided by Yoga Therapist Lizbeth Wolfe, E-RYT 500. She will be assisted by Yoga Therapists Linda Baron and Tolisa Mize Horning, and accompanied by Beth Gatchall on voice, guitar, and harmonium. Lizbeth has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and is certified in therapeutic yoga, prenatal yoga, and aqua yoga. Additionally, she has a special focus on Yoga Therapy, Prenatal Yoga, and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Practice. She is a registered Karuna Reiki Master and Traditional Thai Yoga Massage practitioner. Lizbeth’s yoga classes focus on yoga as a healing and restorative therapy, where focus is on the fundamentals of posture, breathing, and relaxation, all while moving forward in developing a more in depth yoga practice. This class will be geared toward slow, deep, and graceful flow for all levels of students with attention given to alignment, core strengthening, flexibility, stamina, and energy balancing.

Lizbeth teaches at the Cleveland Clinic and at River’s Edge.
