Join us on the first Friday evening of each month for an ever-changing mix of art, music, and mingling. MIX is an 18 and over event.

MIX: Identity
Friday, April 3, 2015, 5:00–9:00 p.m.

How do you identify yourself? What are the characteristics and traits that make you, you?

Celebrate your individuality and discover who and what defines identity as we explore two special exhibitions—Senufo: Art and Identity in West Africa and Constructed Identities.

Get exclusive insights through tours of these introspective exhibitions, and join in curator-led tours of Constructed Identities with Barbara Tannenbaum, curator of photography. Plus, enjoy West African music spun by DJ Dongo and a mancala tournament in the atrium.

Advance tickets, $8; day of event, $10; CMA members FREE. Cash bar. Food is available for purchase in the museum's restaurant and café.

MIX: Identity tickets include admission to Senufo: Art and Identity in West Africa for the duration of the event. Constructed Identities is a free exhibition.

Every month MIX features different art projects, demonstrations, and performances. Artists, crafters, poets, writers, and generally creative folks—got a great idea for a project? Make it happen at MIX!
