Family Day at the CMA 
Bring your family to the museum every second Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and enjoy free art making activities and programs for all ages. Explore the museum through dance, music, and hands on projects!

September 13: Frame It Up!
Create your own picture frames from recycled materials, help us create a collaborative installation in the atrium, and turn your family into a work of art! Search for unique frames in the galleries during a special scavenger hunt, and enjoy the museum’s collection through Art Stories, Art Cart, and Art in Motion.

October 11: Artistic Autumn
Fall into autumn with leaf printing. Create a fall landscape. Play in the fall leaves of George Inness’s Sunny Autumn Day in our family photo op. Enjoy experiences in the museum’s collection through the Art Stories storytime program and Art Cart, and get moving with Art in Motion.

November 8: The Impressionist’s Eye
Find your inner Monet, and create an Impressionist landscape. Create your own scavenger hunt in our galleries. Picture yourself in works of art in the collection. Enjoy experiences in the museum’s collection through the Art Stories storytime program and Art Cart, and get moving with Art in Motion.

December 13: Build It Up!
Help us build cardboard creations in the atrium. Be inspired by the work of Alexander Calder to create your own stabiles or mobiles. Enjoy experiences in the museum’s collection through the Art Stories storytime program and Art Cart, and get moving with Art in Motion.
