  Barcelona and Modernity: A Symposium

International scholars will discuss intersections between modernist culture, artistic production, and social and political events in Barcelona from the 1880s to the 1930s. Moderated by Mary Ann Newman, Institutional Coordinator at Institut Ramon Llull, Barcelona; other scholars: Gary McDonough, Professor and Director of the Growth and Structure of Cities program, Bryn Mawr College; Robert Lubar, Associate Professor of Fine Arts, New York University; Santiago Alcolea, Director, Institut Amatller D'Art Hispanic, Barcelona; and Josep Miguel Sobrer, Professor of Spanish and Catalan, Indiana University. Tickets are $20 CMA Members, $40 non-members and FREE for students with ID.
