Homar trained in the workshop of the ensemblier Francesc Vidal, cultivating his skills to design all aspects of an interior. In addition to wallpaper and marquetry, Homar also decorated his client's homes with large ceramic panels.

Three artists collaborated in the creation of this panel: Josep Pey produced the overall design; Antoni Serra, the porcelain face and hands; and Homar, the ceramic tiles. Homar produced his finest mosaics for the Casa Lleó Morera in Barcelona and the Casa Navàs in Reus.
