Bottle in the Shape of a Caravan Dromedary

Bottles like this must have served as whimsical cosmetic or spice containers. Perhaps they contained the perfumed oil, cassia, or pepper transported by the camel caravans that crisscrossed the northern Syrian desert to Palmyra, Antioch, and the cities of the Mediterranean coast.
