Redrafting the 19th Century: The Butkin Collection in Context
Gabriel P. Weisberg, professor of art history at the University of Minnesota,

Weisberg headed Cleveland Museum of Art's education staff in the 1970s and early 1980s and was a friend of the Butkins. While at the CMA, he organized the 1981-82 international loan exhibition The Realist Tradition: French Painting and Drawing 1830-1900, which included 19 of the Butkin's paintings and drawings.
