Carol Hummel

Carol Hummel turned to art after working as a journalist and businesswoman, and now teaches sculpture at Kent State University. She has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland, the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, and at SPACES and won commissions from the Heights Arts Collaborative to design two projects in Cleveland Heights, one of which is a collaborative work. She won the Industry Award in
the second annual sculpture competition sponsored by Sculptural Pursuit quarterly. Hummel studied graphic design and photography at the University of Cincinnati and has a BS in photojournalism and MFA in sculpture from Kent State.
